60 Jahre Citroen DS in Paris

Nach Chartres sind wir um 7.43 Uhr gestartet am Donnerstag morgen. 20.00 Uhr angekommen, kleiner Umweg in Paris ... und das Auto sicher geparkt. (The trip to Chartres started on Thursday morning at around 7.43 in the morning, we arrived eventually at 8pm at our friends place where we parked the car at the parents's yard) 

Am Samstag auf der Rennstrecke und mit den Teilehändler war super. Erstmal neue Gurte gekauft, der alte Kram hier musste raus. (On Saturday in Monthlery I decided to get new seat belts, here are the old pieces which were taken out) 

Natürlich waren wir nach der Anreise durstig. Auch der Teilekauf war "trocken". (Of course, after spending money on parts we needed to invest in a drink ....)  

Rennfahrer Mark und ich, Selfie inklusive. (Mark, race driver and selfie-maker, and I took a tour on the race track) 

Auf dem Track warteten wir auf den Start. Sonnig, viele Leute. (Waiting on the race track was fun, sunny day, lots of people, and even more so crazy people at heart.) 

Mark, unser Freund aus Chartres, macht mich sauer, er ist cool und happy. (Mark, our good friend in Chartres, is a great chap and makes me look serious and himself he is always cheerful...) 

Alle DS mussten ein Schutzpapier unter dem Wagenboden haben, um Öl aufzufangen. (Arriving in Paris we needed to put a piece of paper under the engine so to ensure no leaking oil would be spilling on the stone.) 

Auf dem Weg zum Palais der Marke Citroen. Richtig schlecht. (Priyanka and Mark on the way to the disappointing DS Automobile exhibition. Not a single coffee or anything to eat available - that is called a brunch !) 

Ohne Kaffeee und noch Magenknurren, aber Entschädigung war dieser Le Dandy. (But afterwards we had a lunch followed by a walk through great classic Citroen DS cars like this Le Dandy coupe.) 

Kleine Toys im Auto. Oder, der kleine Junge hat jetzt Spielkompagnions. (Have some kids toys, put them here.) 

Ein 59er Modell, sehr nett und der Besitzer und ich unterhielten uns recht lang über die frühen Modelle. (A 1959 model (I think) and great chat with the writer of Le Nouanciers about early DS cars.) 

Trailer mit DS, zu kaufen. Und Probleme kriegen. (On a trailer, a "project", don't go there)
